How on earth did you find your way into this room? I thought I had this door barricaded!  This room was built by the original owner of the house, Dr. Orrin.  Dr.Orrin was a cruel evil man who butchered several of his patients, along with murdering his first wife Astrid, his second wife, a beautiful gypsy named Esmeralda, and his lover, a young housemaid named Laurel.  As you can see, he also loved collecting weapons and torture devices.

Before her death, Esmeralda's mother, an old gypsy woman, placed a curse upon him and said he was to haunt his armory until she found in her heart to forgive him for his cruelty. Little Zelda, Esmeralda's daughter, hung herself in her room. Driven to the point of insanity because her stepfather kept her mother's coffin locked in the conservatory, in plain view of the little girl through the many greenhouse windows, Zelda hung herself in her room.

Dr. Orrin was also carrying on an affair with a young maid named Laurel. After he murdered Esmeralda, he asked laurel to marry him. She refused, stating that she had fallen in love with someone else and that her lover was going to marry her. She refused to give Dr. Orrin his name, because she knew  the evil doctor had a wicked temper. Dr. Orrin beat her for her refusal and that night Laurel sent word to her lover to meet her in the garden so they could elope. Her lover, the gardner, Fred, arrived too late. Dr. Orrin had murdered Laurel and buried her by the garden gate. Fred eventually died from a heart attack while trying to look for Laurel's grave in the hot sun one afternoon. He still digs away in the afterlife looking for his love. Can Laurel and Fred ever be reunited? Will the mother Esmeralda ever find her little girl Zelda? Maybe if you continue to look through the house, you can help both the lovers and the mother and daughter. Good luck ;-).  Click on ye old return button sword to return to the house.
