Well it's official. I just found out today that you are really inside me. Your daddy & I were surprised because we weren't exactly planning for you but, now that your there, you have no idea of how excited we are. I went to the doctor for the first time today to learn verify that you are really there & to learn more about you. She told me what I knew since Tuesday that you are there & you are five weeks old. You are due to enter the world on May 11,2001 & we will hear your heartbeat next month. I will get to see you & maybe find out if you'll be a girl or a boy about the middle of December.

 There's so much I have to learn about you & so much I have to do to keep you safe while you are growing inside me. Rest assured that I love you & I will do all I can to learn how to be a good mom to you. I created this site so that other's can share in our joy of you & so that when you are old enough you can look at this & find out what your mom was thinking & feeling when she was pregnant with you :-)!

Dear little Phillip,

Wow so much has changed since that 1st entry. I've heard your heartbeat several times & your Daddy has heard it once. We got to see you on December 18th through my ultrasound. You are so cute already & I am not just saying that because I'm your Mom :-)! I couldn't believe how you smiled at us & waved. Could it be that you knew we were watching you? If so, I think you are really going to be a little Ham :-)! We also found out that you are indeed a boy so, your name will be Phillip Michael after your Daddy & your grandpa. My belly is growing everyday & I can feel you moving now. Boy the way that you kick & punch, I think you are going to be a kick boxer, soccer player, or baseball player.  Your entire family, (including me, your Daddy, your Grandma, Grandpas, Great Grandmas, Great Grandpas, Aunties, Uncles, & cousins) all look forward to meeting you :-)! Well sweetie I hope you will always remember (even when you become a teenager) how much you are loved by all of us!

To my Dear little Guy,

Hi sweetie ! Boy you sure are kicking more than ever right now. A couple of days ago, you just did not want to let your mommy sleep & hopefully this isn't a warning of things to come :-) ! Daddy's is just about done with the office downstairs, in fact he's working on it while I'm writing so soon we'll move all the computers & stuff down there & start on your bedroom!  Not that you'll notice right away but, we decided to go with a nautical theme for your room (boats, fish ,lighthouses, etc.) & I just can't wait to start decorating! We found you a really nice crib & chest that your Grandma & Grandpa will be buying for you. Next month, we'll be having your shower & I just can't wait to see all the goodies you get. Your Auntie Carrie & I went up to Babies R' Us over the weekend & I added all kinds of stuff (with your Aunt Carrie's helpful suggestions) to a registry for your shower. I can only imagine how busy we'll be trying to get everything ready for you but, I know that somehow we'll get it all done before you finally arrive. Well I'm looking forward to the day when I can finally hold you in my arms but, until that day, I hope you stay sound & safe inside me :-)!

Just a few more days 'till your due date. I'm showing all the signs that I could go into labor any day now :-)! I'm nervous & excited but, anxious to finally meet the sweet little baby boy I've been carrying in my belly for the past nine months :-)! Your nursery is all ready, my hospital bag is packed, all your Daddy & I need is you :-)! Can't wait to see you & hold you for the 1st time.

Happy 1 week birthday little love :-)! After 22 very long hours of labor last Tuesday, I finally got to hold you for the very 1st time. You have a ton of silky black hair, chubby little pink cheeks, and a sweet little rosebud mouth. Your Daddy & I couldn't be more happy than we are right now. My only prayer is that you stay the sweet little love you are & that you don't grow up too quickly. One of Mommy's online friends, Donna made the below graphics just for you so I'll leave them here for you to see when you get older. I hope this little diary will let you see how much we loved you from day one :-)!
