Gardening Tips

I am a 26 year old woman who used to work in the garden center of Wal-Mart store #2316. I love gardening, surfing the internet & various crafts. I live in Cleveland, OH with my husband & 2 kitty cats. Below is a picture of me, taken at the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. I deleted the video of our yard because it was taking too long to load & is too large of a file. If anyone knows a program that changes large avi files into smaller jpeg files let me know.

All about the Nickname & how my cybergarden grew up on the net!

I'm sure that many of my visitors are curious about how I got the nickname " Daisy" & how this cybergarden was planted so, I decided to add this section in my about me page. The nickname was something that my grandma gave to me. When I was about 10 years old, I began calling my grandma, "Gramzie".  I'm not sure where I came up with it from but, it was cute & she loved being called, "Gramzie". Soon she began calling me Daisy (my real name is Dana), so did my entire family. Years later, when I was dating my hubby, he overheard my Dad call me "Daisy". He asked why & I explained. He said that the nickname suited me 'cause  I was just like a little flower :-)!

When I had first ventured into the web design thing, Daisy's Cybergarden just seemed like a cool title for my site. My Cybergarden was  small at first and just had a few pictures. It grew they day I visited the Mousepad & adopted Rosebud (a.k.a.: Rosie), Callista (a.k.a.:Callie), and Violet(a.k.a.:Vi)! They were absolutely adorable & I decided to put them in charge of various part of the garden (although Callie initially resisted because she'd rather be napping :-)! She's a good cat though & now loves romping through the garden!)! I figured that would be a neat way to teach children as well as adults the many gardening tips I've learned over the years.  Eventually, with my husbands help, I changed the background, created some neat title graphics & buttons, and moved my site from Geocities. The cybergarden was located on Xoom for awhile but, once we registered our own Domain name & had our DSL line installed, I moved it again. Last but not least, when my site was re-arranged to my liking, I signed up for the Site Fights. The Fights have turned out to become a lot of fun & I've made many friends through them! Well if any of my visitors have any questions about web design, html or gardening, please don't hesitate to

Daisy is proud to be:

:-)!
